The HYPERION is a fully discrete, true balanced Class AB power amplifier. Power output is conservatively rated at 80W per channel into 8 ohms and 150W per channel into 4 ohms (RMS, both channels driven).
The 300VA power transformer is custom-designed for audio applications and features copper shielding. Eighteen large storage capacitors (147,600uF) and fast-switching Schottky diodes provide ample DC power rails for the modular power amplifier.
True balanced inputs are amplified by the modular power amplifier circuitry (+V and -V signals relative to ground). Each channel is equipped with four pairs of output transistors.
Note: DENAFRIPS amplifiers are true balanced amplifiers. Do not connect the amplifier's speaker outputs to the subwoofer's high-level inputs. Such a connection may damage the amplifier.
